Disney Stories
Disney Stories have long been the treasured choice for bedtime stories for generations of children of all ages. Below are descriptions and links to our simple categories of Disney stories.
Welcome to Disney Classics
Welcome to Disney Classics page. I am primarily sharing the condensed and altered storybook versions of box office classic films. These range from Snow White and Cinderella to modern day hits like Moana and Frozen. Moreover, in the near future, I will include read alouds of the extended Disney Classic Series of books. That’s the Disney Classic version of Alice in Wonderland picture on the left. The Disney storybooks in this series include more of the story and more animated photos in oversize books.
Mickey & Friends Stories
Walt Disney once reminded his listeners to never forget, “It all began with a mouse.” The most DISNEY of Disney Stories will always be those of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto.
Muppets & Sesame Street Stories
Disney bought The Muppets franchise built by the immortal Jim Henson. They are an ideal fit for the Disney brand of healthy, positive family entertainment. And while Sesame Street is not actually Disney, it seems right to categorize Sesame Street stories together with Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and the rest.
Winnie the Pooh Stories From Hundred Acre Wood
For creating sweet dreams and good nights, it’s hard to beat revisiting The Hundred Acre Wood and Winnie the Pooh. Every “Winnie’sday” we will post a new story featuring Pooh bear, Tigger, Eeyore, Rabbit, Piglet, Kanga, Roo, Owl and Christopher Robin. To this day, even at my advanced age, I listen to Winnie the Pooh stories to help me turn my mind off and fall asleep.
Throwback Thursday Stories from 1967-1989
Throwback Thursdays are where you’ll find Disney stories (and others) from the era following Walt Disney’s passing in 1966 up through the 1980s before the modern day classics like The Little Mermaid debuted (see Disney Classics)
Pixar Stories, including Cars
Pixar Stories are, of course, Disney stories. But I’ve created a separate page for them to make them easier to find. Pixar has delivered storybook favorite characters like Flik, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Nemo, Mater, Lightning McQueen and many others.
If you like this site, you might also like DAPSmagic.com. DAPS stands for “Disney And Positive Stuff.” I am a big fan of focusing on the positive, seeing the good in others. The folks at DAPSMagic do the same thing will all things Disney. It’s my first click to read the latest Disney news, see what’s going on in the parks and step into the magic happenings at Disneyland.
